Pool Floats
68Remember the good old days when all you need for fun at the lake or beach would be an old inflatable tire for floating and lounging in? Those days are far behind us now! Presently, there are a lot of truly unique and fun options when it comes to purchasing a pool float - enough to make your head spin! Pool floats can either be made of foam or the more popular inflatable kind. If you go online, you will be presented with many different choices. It would be quite easy to get lost in choosing the right pool raft or float for your needs, but consider where - as well as who - will be using it the most often. For inflatable pool floats, you can choose from the smallest ones that can fit one person at a time, to floats that can fit three to four people for a party atmosphere complete with pool toys and drinks! Here are a few inflatable pool loungers that caught my interest:
Hammock style pool floats - As the name suggests, this combines the comfort of lounging in a hammock with your standard pool raft. Only certain parts of the pool float can be inflated; this way, you remain buoyant but you can also relax and imagine being cradled by a hammock on the shore of your favorite beach - even if you are only in the middle of your fiberglass swimming pool!
Couch style floats - Since I love cuddling with my husband, this style is ideal for us. Imagine floating in the middle of the pool with your partner and enjoying a cool drink. If you have a little one like me, this is ideal to lounge with both your partner and your baby for some quiet time and relaxation.
Double pool lounger - This would allow you to be face to face with the other person, and it also has a bonus, in that the middle part of the pool raft can be used as a mini bar. No need to get out from the pool for a drink refill with one of these unique loungers!
Foam style pool floats - These are created out of unsinkable foam. Truly, these floats would not sink even if they were punctured! A foam pool float is ultra-comfortable; it might make you forget that you are in your pool as they can make you feel like you're lounging in the comfort your couch or your bed.
Quilted foam floats - As the name suggests, these offer a quilted pattern that provides comfort. For storage, they can be easily rolled up, and can also serve as a regular lounge for you and your family on your patio or even in front of your TV.
Super soft floats -- Made of unsinkable soft foam about two inches thick and provide the same comfort as your most cushioned lounge.
Kickboard pool floats -- These are ideal for your active kids who are just starting to learn how to swim. The board will allow them to kick around the pool; it will provide adequate swimming assistance to your children, while providing them with ample security. As with any floaters, you would need to ensure the safety of your kids by keeping an eye on them while they enjoy the pool.
Inflatable water slides -- These are not technically floats, of course, but they make great pool loungers for when you want to take a break from the water for a few minutes - and they provide hours of fun for your friends and family as well!
Whether you opt for inflatable or foam style pool floats, the effect would be the same - total pool enjoyment for everyone!
